Netflix to stream to Wii, iPhone
Some guy, apparently a Netflix executive, is saying that Neflix will soon stream to the Wii and to iPhones, albeit over Wi-Fi for the latter. The service will cement Netflix’s position as probably the best streaming video service in the whole wide world including parts of Middle Earth and Oz.
Not much more to say about the news but it seems that the Play Now service will work on iPhones and iPod Touches through a standalone app. You can currently modify your Netflix queue using apps like PhoneFlix and this adds the final piece of the puzzle.
Oh, look, a legitimately clever use of the iPhone, and one that’s not hard at all to replicate at home. Essentially, you set your iPhone on a raised surface, then you snap away using the phone’s camera…
If I know our readers, most of you are probably wondering two things: “Why the hell would someone make an iPhone case that looks like bacon and eggs?”, and “Why the hell would MobileCrunch post about this?”.
